General Dynamics opened a new Cyber Intelligence and Solutions Center located in Annapolis Junction, Maryland today.
The 28,000 square foot facility will house experts working cyber threat detection and mitigation solutions.
The company said that the new facility also features an EDGE Innovation Center, Part of a General Dynamics-sponsored worldwide innovation network leveraging industry investments in technology to fill gaps in capability.
Built to serve the unique needs of the U.S. Department of Defense and the intelligence community, the Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center provides a highly secure and flexible environment for customers at the Ft. Meade-based National Security Agency and U.S. Cyber Command as well as federal and civilian industry partners focused on protecting the nation’s intelligence and thwarting threats in cyberspace.
“Defending the nation’s networks requires new levels of close collaboration between government network operators and industry to deliver advanced, integrated cyber-defense solutions,” said Bill Ross, vice president of Federal Systems and Cyber Solutions for General Dynamics C4 Systems. “The Cyber and Intelligence Solutions Center brings together government end-users, trusted partners and General Dynamics’ global network of industry experts to deliver innovative responses to evolving cyber threats.”
The center will employ up to 100 cyber professionals.
