The US Senate has confirmed Kirsten Davies as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Department of Defense. Originally nominated for the position in May, Davies will take over from Katie Arrington, who served as DOD’s CIO since March. Davies previously served as CISO at Unilever and Estée Lauder Companies. Before that, she held cybersecurity positions at Barclays Africa, HP, and Siemens.
Hardware-backed authentication solutions provider Yubico has appointed Jerrod Chong as its acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Currently the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Chong has served in senior leadership positions at Yubico for 12 years. Stepping down from its CEO role, Mattias Danielsson will be available for guidance for the next six months.
Cybersecurity veteran Joel Fulton has joined Cyderes as the company’s SVP Cybermesh & CISO after the company acquired Lucidum, which he founded. Founder of Silicon Valley CISO Investments (SVCI), Fulton served as Lucidum’s CEO, and was previously CISO at Splunk, deputy CSO at Symantec, and Global Head of Risk at Google.
Exposure management company Tenable has appointed Vlad Korsunsky as its Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Managing Director of Tenable Israel. In his new role, Korsunsky will oversee company’s technical vision, platform strategy, and innovation. With over 25 years of leadership experience, he most recently served as Corporate Vice President of Cloud and Enterprise Security at Microsoft.
