Content delivery network and cloud security firm Fastly (NYSE: FSLY) announced that Scott R. Lovett will join the company as Chief Revenue Officer, effective June 3, 2024. Lovett joins Fastly from Imperva where he served as Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to Imperva, Lovett held leadership positions at Akamai, McAfee and Cisco.

Digital transformation consulting firm Synechron has hired Aaron Momin as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). He joined the company from Certinia, where he also served as CISO. He was previously a Managing Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Cyber asset management firm Axonius has named Wendy Zheng as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Joe Diamond as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Zheng joins Axonius from OneTrust, and she previously held a leadership role at Okta. Diamond joins Axonius from Okta.

Intelligent document processing company ABBYY has hired Clayton C. Peddy as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) to lead the company’s infosec initiatives. Peddy has over two decades of experience in cybersecurity, software development, architecture consulting, and digital transformation. He previously held security leadership roles at OutSystems and Citrix.

BlackCloak, a company that provides protection and concierge cybersecurity and privacy services for executives and high-net-worth individuals, has appointed Ryan Black as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Prior to joining BlackCloak, Black held leadership positions at Mandiant and Bugcrowd.

Sophos has announced that Joe Levy is now the company’s permanent Chief Executive Officer (CEO) after being acting CEO since February 15. Levy, who has been with Sophos for nine years, has named Jim Dildine as the cybersecurity firm’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Eric Goldstein, the Executive Assistant Director for Cybersecurity at the DHS’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), is leaving the organization for a private sector role. Prior to joining CISA in 2021, Goldstein served as global head of cybersecurity policy, strategy, and regulation at Goldman Sachs. He also held various roles at the National Protection and Programs Directorate, CISA’s precursor.

OT zero trust access and control solutions provider Dispel has named Dean Macris as its Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Macris, who will continue his service as Lieutenant Commander in the US Navy, previously served as the Theater Operations Officer of US Forces Korea and Cyber Technical Director for Naval Special Warfare. He also managed General Dynamics Electric Boat company’s Signature Secret Network, and worked as an instructor of Cyber Systems at the United States Coast Guard Academy.

Cloud identity and security solutions firm Saviynt announced that it has hired Henrique Teixeira as Senior Vice President of Strategy. Teixeira most recently served as Vice President, Research for Identity and Access Management at Gartner.

Global PR and marketing firm FleishmanHillard has named Scott Radcliffe as the agency’s global director of cybersecurity. In the new position Radcliffe will be responsible for overseeing the agency’s global Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. Radcliffe returns to FleishmanHillard from Apple, where he led cybersecurity communications. He previously served as the agency’s senior global data privacy and security expert from 2016 to 2020.

Portnox, a provider of zero trust access control solutions, announced that Joseph Rodriguez has joined the company as Chief Revenue Officer. He previously served as SVP of Worldwide Sales at Upland Software, and Vice President Sales, North America, at Khoros.

Cybersecurity awareness training firm NINJIO has appointed Jon Dion as its Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to joining NINJIO, he served as the Vice President of Sales at AuditBoard.

Device Authority, a company that provides identity and access management (IAM) solutions for enterprise IoT ecosystems, has announced the appointment of Richard Seward as its new Vice President of Product Management. Seward joins Device Authority with more than 15 years experience in the field, previously holding similar roles at Google, Vodafone and Meta.

Data security firm Cohesity has appointed Dr. Craig Martell as Chief Technology Officer. He most recently served as the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAO) for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD). Prior to joining the DoD, Dr. Martell held roles including Head of Machine Learning at Lyft and Head of Machine Intelligence at Dropbox. He was also a tenured computer science professor at the Naval Postgraduate School specializing in natural language processing.

Week of May 6, 2024

Retired General Paul Nakasone has been named founding director of the Institute for National Defense and Global Security at Vanderbilt University, which is expected to launch in the fall of 2024. An expert on global security and cyberwarfare, Nakasone served as commander of US Cyber Command, director of the National Security Agency, and chief of the Central Security Service.

Healthcare technology solutions provider NextGen Healthcare has named Garo Doudian as Chief Information and Security Officer (CIO/CISO). Prior to NextGen Healthcare, Doudian held CISO and other cybersecurity leadership roles at Moody’s Analytics, Green Dot Corporation, Paramount Pictures, and Herbalife International.
