The UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) has announced that Richard Horne will become its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the fall. Horne is currently chair of PwC UK’s Cyber Security Practice. Prior to PwC, he was Managing Director of Cyber Security for Barclays PLC and he was also involved in developing the UK government’s first cybersecurity strategy.

Business communications solutions provider Mitel announced the appointment of Bill Dunnion as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Dunnion will oversee Mitel’s information security strategy, security architecture, and security standards compliance. Prior to joining Mitel, Dunnion held IT and cybersecurity leadership positions at Calian, 2Keys Security Solutions, and Bell Canada.

Cybersecurity firm Forcepoint announced the appointment of Naveen Palavalli as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Palavalli was most recently SVP Head of Global Product and Solutions Marketing and Demand Generation at Netskope. He will report to CEO Manny Rivelo and lead Forcepoint’s global marketing strategy.

Managed service provider (MSP) and managed security service provider (MSSP) Dataprise announced the appointment of industry veteran Nima Khamooshi as its Vice President of Cybersecurity. In his new role, Khamooshi will lead Dataprise’s Managed Cybersecurity business. Prior to Dataprise, he held leadership roles at Lumen Technologies, Booz Allen Hamilton, The College Board and Conference of State Bank Supervisors.

Keepit, a Danish company that sells SaaS data backup and recovery products, has hired Kim Larsen as its new Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Larson has more than 20 years of leadership experience in IT and cybersecurity from government and the private sector and once served as a delegate for the Danish government in both NATO’s and the EU’s security committees.

Professional services company Slalom has appointed Christopher Burger as its first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Burger has been with Slalom since 2018, previously serving as Vice President and Managing Director of Information Security & Governance. In his role as CISO, Burger will oversee Slalom’s security team, and will be tasked with elevating global security and risk services to help customers improve their security posture and performance.

Facility security and services giant Allied Universal announced that Deanna Steele has joined the company as chief information officer (CIO) for North America. She previously held roles at as CISO for Advantage Solutions, J. Jill and Ingram Content Group.
