CSC today announced that it has acquired Vulnerability Research Labs (VRL), a privately held cyber threat intelligence firm based in Columbia, Maryland.
VRL develops countermeasures to deal with advanced persistent cyber threats and will enhance CSC’s cybersecurity offerings to clients in the financial services, energy and natural resources, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology and consumer markets, as well as the public sector.
Under the agreement, VRL will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary within CSC’s global cybersecurity business. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
