Aanchal Gupta Joins Adobe as Chief Security Officer

Aanchal Gupta has been named CSO at Adobe after holding cybersecurity leadership roles at Microsoft for more than five years.

Adobe on Monday announced that it has appointed Aanchal Gupta as its new Chief Security Officer (CSO).

The software giant told SecurityWeek that Gupta has been tasked with leading the vision and strategy for the company’s global cybersecurity program, while supporting its broader AI governance efforts.

Adobe said Gupta’s appointment reflects its continued investment in advancing cybersecurity at a time when trust is foundational to innovation.

Prior to Adobe, Gupta held cybersecurity leadership roles at Microsoft for more than five years, initially serving as Vice President, Azure Security, and later as Corporate Vice President, Cloud and M365 Security.

She then served as CVP and Deputy CISO, until a major shakeup at Microsoft in December 2023, when she took on the role of CVP, Office Product Group, where she stayed until her departure to Adobe.

Prior to Microsoft, Gupta served as Chief Information Security Officer at Meta and Skype, and also held a Director of Engineering role at Yahoo.

At Adobe, she replaces Maarten Van Horenbeeck, who was recently interviewed by SecurityWeek’s Kevin Townsend for the CISO Conversations series.
