WitnessAI Raises $58 Million for AI Security Platform

The company will use the fresh investment to accelerate its global go-to-market and product expansion.

Cybersecurity funding

AI security startup WitnessAI on Tuesday announced raising $58 million in strategic funding, which brings the total raised by the company to over $85 million.

The investment round was led by Sound Ventures, with additional support from Fin Capital, Forgepoint Capital Partners, Qualcomm Ventures, and Samsung Ventures.

Founded in 2023, California-based WitnessAI has built a unified AI security and governance platform that helps organizations to govern and protect their AI operations.

The platform provides visibility into every AI interaction, including those involving native applications, covering both employees and autonomous agents.

WitnessAI’s solution offers policy control based on behavioral intent, enabling more accurate policy enforcement and blocking multi-turn and prompt injection attacks before they reach AI agents.

The platform monitors active AI agents, their MCP server and tool connections, and data sharing activities, and connects human and agentic identities, capturing the decision-making context to shed light into agent actions.

WitnessAI says its platform is already used by large enterprises in the airline, automobile, financial services, retail, telecommunication, and utilities sectors.

The company will use the fresh funding to accelerate its global go-to-market efforts and expand product capabilities.

“The future of AI is hybrid, spanning both cloud and edge. WitnessAI has developed a platform that governs and protects AI agents, models, applications, and users—wherever they operate,” Qualcomm VP and managing director Tushar Gupta said.
