Trend Micro Unveils New Cloud Security Platform

Trend Micro has announced a new security services platform aimed at helping customers simplify hybrid and multi-cloud security.

Trend Micro has announced a new security services platform aimed at helping customers simplify hybrid and multi-cloud security.

The new Cloud One platform, Trend Micro says, includes six services that provide workload, container, file object storage, serverless and application, and network security, and which also aim to deliver security posture management capabilities.

Cloud One works across code pipelines and cloud operations, integrates with data centers and providers such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform, and can also provide security for DevOps teams.

According to Trend Micro, the new all-in-one platform can help organizations achieve cloud security without friction or slowdowns. Cloud One provides single sign-on, common user and cloud account enrollment, visibility into assets from a single place, and common procurement and billing.

With Cloud One, the security firm aims to deliver the broadest range of security capabilities in a single platform, helping customers migrate existing applications to the cloud, deliver new cloud-native applications, and achieve cloud operational excellence.

The six services included in the platform are Workload Security, Container Image Security, File Storage Security, Network Security, Cloud Posture Management, and Application Security.

Trend Micro said the Cloud One platform is expected to be available in the first quarter of next year, with three services fully integrated: workload security, network security and application security.

The remaining components will become available as standalone solutions during the first three months of 2020, and will be integrated into Cloud One by the end of the year.
