Tenable Network Security, a provider of security monitoring solutions, has hired veteran IT security expert Jack Daniel to its product management team. Daniel comes to Tenable from Astaro, recently acquired by Sophos, where he served as Community Development Manager.
Daniel is well known in the industry for co-founding the influential Security B-Sides, a series of highly successful community-driven events built for and by information security community members.
As part of the product management team, Daniel is tasked with helping to further develop Tenable’s enterprise-class security solution, making it faster and easier for businesses to identify and eliminate threats and vulnerabilities and achieve compliance requirements.
“Jack is, undoubtedly, one of the top minds in the IT security community,” said Ron Gula, CEO and CTO of Tenable Network Security. “His creativity and end user security smarts will continue to fuel the strength and vision for our Unified Security Monitoring platform, helping us keep customers ahead of threats through continuous, real-time network activity monitoring. He’s an excellent addition to the team.”
In addition to his new role at Tenable, Daniel is Director of the National Information Security Group (NAISG), a non-profit organization focused on promoting IT security awareness.
