Cyber-security provider Secureworks this week announced it can now help organizations better protect their environments with its new Orchestration and Automation solution.

Announced at the RSA Conference 2019 in San Francisco, the new solution can reduce cyber-security workload and help organizations contain and eradicate threats.

The tool can automate workflows and provide context to discovered incidents by leveraging a combination of security operations expertise, security orchestration technology, managed services, and incident response experience.

The new Orchestration and Automation solution, Secureworks says, takes a “do it with you” approach to ensure alignment with best practices. An up-front consultation reassures users that automated actions are in line with the customer’s goals from the start.

The solution is also meant to accelerate threat response by allowing users to automate actions in their client portal or mobile interface, while also enabling them to send incident information to Secureworks for further consultation.

The tool is also meant to deliver time savings, minimize technology investments, and simplify operations. Moreover, it can accelerate incident investigations and allow security teams to focus on incidents that matter, Secureworks says.

Incident response triage assistance is also available to Orchestration and Automation users, along with push-button containment actions to quickly respond to common threat scenarios, and the possibility to review security operations workflows.

“Secureworks’ Orchestration and Automation solution allows customers to respond faster to threats and be more confident that the actions taken are the right ones for their organization and environment,” Wendy Thomas, Senior Vice President of Business and Product Strategy at Secureworks, commented.
