Sara Andrews, Chief Information Security Officer at PepsiCo, Joins FireEye Board of Directors

FireEye (NASDAQ: FEYE) on Tuesday announced that Sara Andrews, SVP and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at PepsiCo, has been appointed to the FireEye board of directors.

Prior to PepsiCo, Andrews served as Verizon’s Chief Network Security Officer (CNSO), where she led organizations responsible for the security of all Verizon wireline networks serving the company’s residential, small business and enterprise customers.

“Sara is a leader who brings strategic business insights with proven global and front-line experience,” said Kevin Mandia, CEO at FireEye. “Her knowledge and insights will be valuable assets as FireEye continues to focus on delivering differentiated security solutions to organizations around the globe.”

Andrews holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from Auburn University and a master’s degree in business administration from Brenau University.

She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Children’s Advocacy Center for Colling County, and is a member of the Board of Directors at LogMeIn, according to her LinkedIn profile.

On July 28, FireEye reported record Q2 revenue of $230 million for the second quarter ended June 30, 2020, an increase of 6 percent from the second quarter of 2019.

“The steps we have taken to accelerate our transformation to a security-as-a-service company resulted in record second quarter revenue and our highest ever non-GAAP profitability,” Mandia said in its Q2 earnings announcement. “Growing adoption of our validation platform, cloud-based security products and intelligence solutions, combined with improved net retention in our appliance-based security controls business, drove annualized recurring revenue to record levels.”
