NTT Security, the cybersecurity company of Japanese telecommunications giant NTT Group (Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation) on Tuesday announced that it has entered a definitive agreement to acquire application security firm WhiteHat Security.
WhiteHat Security will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Security and will continue to operate independently.
By acquiring WhiteHat, NTT Security says it will be able to provide customers comprehensive application security solutions and address all their enterprise security needs. WhiteHat Security customers will be given access to NTT Security’s advisory and consulting services.
NTT Security told SecurityWeek that financial terms of the deal are not being disclosed.

Founded in 2001, WhiteHat Security has raised over $50 million across seven funding rounds. It offers various testing, analysis and learning products for application developers.
