IronKey Names New CEO

IronKeyIronKey, the company best known for its secure USB drives of the same name, announced this morning that Arthur Wong has joined the company as its new chief executive officer. Current IronKey CEO and Founder David Jevans will become chairman of the company’s board of directors.

IronKeyIronKey, the company best known for its secure USB drives of the same name, announced this morning that Arthur Wong has joined the company as its new chief executive officer. Current IronKey CEO and Founder David Jevans will become chairman of the company’s board of directors.

After raising $22 Million in funding back in May, IronKey is looking to expand its leadership team to help extend its rapid growth. Wong has previously held roles with Symantec where he managed Symantec’s Security and Data Management Group, and served as senior vice president of several other Symantec business units.

Wong was also the CEO and founder of Security Focus Inc., which Symantec acquired, and Secure Networks Inc., acquired by McAfee, where he was the director of channels for Security.

“Art brings invaluable experience and leadership shaped at the security industry’s largest players, and at the same time has consistently demonstrated his ability to build and effectively grow emerging businesses,” said David Jevans, IronKey’s chairman. “We are fortunate to have attracted him to help IronKey capitalize on the significant growth opportunity in front of us.”

IronKey claims thousands of customers, including Fortune 500 companies, enterprise organizations in financial services, healthcare and legal markets, as well as government agencies, including FEMA, NATO and DHS.
