American Financial Group (NYSE: AFG) has promoted JD Rogers to Vice President & Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Rogers joined the Company in 2008 and has served as the leader of the company’s Enterprise Information Security Group since its inception in 2013.

Chris DeRusha has joined Google Cloud as Director of Global Public Sector Compliance. DeRusha, who previously served as federal Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) within the Office of Management and Budget, will directly report to Jeanette Manfra, Global Director of Security and Compliance at Google Cloud. In 2020, the Biden campaign hired DeRusha as its first CISO.

Kevin Mandia is now General Partner at cybersecurity-focused venture capital firm Ballistic Ventures. Mandia is one of the company’s founders and until now he served as Strategic Partner. The cybersecurity veteran founded Mandiant and has served as its CEO for a large part of the past two decades. Following the company’s acquisition by Google Cloud, he recently transitioned to an advisory role within Google Cloud and sits on the Google Public Sector board. Mandia also serves as a member of the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s Cybersecurity Advisory Committee.

Zimperium has announced the appointment of Michael Williams as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Williams joins Zimperium from KnowBe4, where he also served as CMO. He was also CMO at Symantec, and he previously held leadership positions at Blue Coat Systems and McAfee.

Mark Sutton, Managing Director and the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Bain Capital has joined the Board of Directors at AI security firm Harmonic Security.

Log analytics platform Sumo Logic has named John Visneski as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Lyndsey Filantres as Senior Vice President of Growth. Visneski previously held cybersecurity leadership positions at The Pokémon Company International, Accolade, MGM Studios, and most recently at Amazon after it acquired MGM. He also served in the US Air Force. Filantres previously held key positions at Accolade, GitHub, New Relic, Avalara and SAP Concur.

Gabriel Agboruche has been named Executive Director of OT and Cybersecurity at consulting, technical, engineering, and project delivery services firm Jacobs Solutions. Prior to joining Jacobs, Agboruche held OT security consulting roles at Accenture and Mandiant.
