Retired U.S. Army General and former National Security Agency (NSA) Director Paul M. Nakasone has joined the Board of Directors at artificial intelligence giant OpenAI and will join the Board’s Safety and Security Committee that was announced in late May.

Kristina Walter has been named Chief of the NSA’s Cybersecurity Collaboration Center (CCC). She returns to the CCC after helping establish it. Walter previously held various positions at the NSA, including in the Future Ready Workforce Initiative, and the Business Management & Integration (BM&I) Directorate.

Jill Passalacqua has been appointed Chief Legal Officer at Horizon3.ai, a provider of autonomous security solutions. Passalacqua was previously Chief Legal Officer at JumpCloud following general counsel positions at Harness and Avi Networks.

Networking giant Cisco has appointed Sean Duca as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Practice Leader for the Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC) region. Prior to joining Cisco, Duca served as VP and Regional Chief Security Officer for the APAC region at Palo Alto Networks.

Megan Samford has been named Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Schneider Electric’s US National Security Agreements & US Federal Business. Samford has been with Schneider since 2020, previously serving as VP and Chief Product Security Officer of the company’s Energy Management unit. Prior to joining Schneider, Samford held security leadership roles at Rockwell Automation and GE.

MDR, supply chain defense, and digital risk protection firm BlueVoyant announced that Timothy Yost has joined the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Yost has nearly three decades of financial leadership and strategic expertise. He previously served as CFO of Consilio, and CFO of Axiom Global.

Amir Gabrieli has joined cloud threat detection, incident response, and investigation solutions provider Mitiga as Vice President of Product. Prior to Mitiga, Gabrieli served as Director for Product Management at Aqua Security.

Asset intelligence company Sevco Security has announced the appointment of Michael Persechini as Senior Vice President of Global Sales. Persechini joins Sevco with nearly 15 years of sales leadership experience and over 25 years of cybersecurity experience. Before Sevco, Persechini held sales leadership positions at Interpres Security, Hunters, and Mandiant.

DNS filtering, security and website blocking software provider DNSFilter has hired TK Keanini as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Keanini has more than 30 years of experience in network security. Prior to joining DNSFilter, he was the Vice President of Security Architecture and CTO of Cisco Secure. He also held leadership roles at Lancope, nCircle Network Security, and Morgan Stanley Dean Witter Online.
