The White House Office of the National Cyber Director (ONCD) has announced the appointment of Harry Wingo as Deputy National Cyber Director. Harry Coker, who was confirmed as National Cyber Director in December 2023, welcomed Wingo to the ONCD team. Wingo has been a faculty member specializing in cybersecurity at the National Defense University, and previously served as President and CEO of the DC Chamber of Commerce.
Ransomware protection and anti data exfiltration company BlackFog has appointed Brenda Robb as President, John Sarantakes as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), and Mark Griffith as Vice President of Strategic Sales. Robb, one of the company’s founding members, will also continue to serve as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Sarantakes previously held leadership positions at InMotion Software, Headspring Systems, Absolute Software, and Dell.
Sandfly Security announced that former NSA Cybersecurity Director Rob Joyce will join its Advisory Board. Sandfly provides an agentless Linux security solution to protect mission critical infrastructure. Joyce retired from the NSA at the end of March and is apparently starting his own cybersecurity company, Joyce Cyber.
Sophos has announced that Teresa Anania has joined the company as Chief Customer Officer (CCO). Anania has more than 25 years of experience in leading customer satisfaction and sales growth across public and private sectors. She joins Sophos from Zendesk, where she was responsible for the management and development of the company’s global client base.
