eFax Bolsters Security, Introduces Digitized Signatures

Popular digital faxing service eFax, from j2 Global Communications, today announced significant enhancements to its service that bring increased functionality, including digitized signatures, enhanced security, increased storage capacity.

• Digitized signatures: Ability to Drag, drop, and fax or email signed documents.

Popular digital faxing service eFax, from j2 Global Communications, today announced significant enhancements to its service that bring increased functionality, including digitized signatures, enhanced security, increased storage capacity.

New Security Enhancements to eFax include:

• Digitized signatures: Ability to Drag, drop, and fax or email signed documents.

• Document encryption: eFax ‘Enhanced Secure’ options further bolster security via secure online network and file encryption.

• Lifetime storage: Users have access to data for the entire term of a subscription.

The new features are part of the company’s eFax Next initiative, a rollout of new solutions, including an iPhone app, to helps solve common document management problems.

eFax claims over 11 million people use its service for their fax communications which provides local and toll-free fax numbers in over 3,500 cities and 48 countries around the world. Originally available for free, plans currently start at $16.95 monthly.
