An analysis conducted by SecurityWeek shows that more than 450 cybersecurity-related mergers and acquisitions were announced in 2022.
Professional services giant Accenture has acquired Brazil-based cybersecurity firm Morphus, which provides penetration testing, governance, compliance, risk management, threat intelligence, and managed security services. The acquisition will enable Accenture to expand its cybersecurity footprint in Latin America.
Cybersecurity, cloud and infrastructure consulting services provider Almond has announced buying all shares of cybersecurity consulting and evaluation company Amossys. Both companies are based in France. The transaction is part of Almond’s expansion efforts.

Francisco Partners acquires Sumo Logic
Cloud monitoring, log management and SIEM solutions provider Sumo Logic has entered into a definitive agreement to be acquired by private equity firm Francisco Partners for $1.7 billion. Sumo Logic will become a private company as a result of the transaction.
Network Intelligence acquires services business of Ilantus Technologies
US-based cybersecurity training and managed services provider Network Intelligence announced purchasing the services business of India-based identity and access management (IAM) firm Ilantus Technologies. The deal enables Network Intelligence to expand its service offering.
Radiant Logic acquires Brainwave GRC
Identity data company Radiant Logic is acquiring France-based Brainwave GRC, which specializes in identity governance and administration. The deal will help Radiant Logic strengthen its position in the identity governance and analytics market and boost its market share in various parts of the world.
Redwood Software acquires Cerberus
Business process automation firm Redwood Software has acquired secure file transfer solutions provider Cerberus in an effort to expand its automation and managed file transfer portfolio.
Engineering consultancy firm Rejlers is strengthening its data protection and cybersecurity offering for mission-critical environments through the acquisition of cybersecurity consulting company Three Kings from Flamia Oy. Both companies are based in Finland.
Fraud prevention company Seon has acquired compliance and anti-money laundering (AML) firm Complytron in an effort to create a unified AML, anti-fraud and fincrime platform. Seon reportedly paid somewhere in the region of €2.5 million ($2.6 million) for Complytron. Both companies are based in Hungary.
Uptime Institute acquires Leet Security
US-based Uptime Institute, which helps companies assess and improve their digital infrastructure, has acquired Spain-based Leet Security, which provides an independent cybersecurity risk evaluation methodology and rating system. The deal will enable Uptime to offer a comprehensive cybersecurity rating system.
Wavenet acquires Fidus Information Security
Unified communication solutions provider Wavenet has acquired penetration testing consultancy Fidus Information Security in an effort to strengthen its penetration and security testing capabilities. Both companies are based in the UK.
Zscaler acquires Canonic Security
Cloud security firm Zscaler has announced plans to acquire Israeli early-stage startup Canonic Security to expand its services into the software supply chain security business.
