CSC, a global information technology services and solutions provider, announced expansions to its managed security services this week, saying it now offers a solution to help enterprises manage regulatory and compliance mandates for cybersecurity.
CSC, which this week was awarded participation in a cybersecurity contract with the U.S. government that could total up to $6 billion over five years, says its new solution streamlines the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) process for businesses by integrating data and reporting from existing cybersecurity controls into a single view.
Dubbed “Horizon”, CSC says its solution brings customizable enterprise dashboard that provides clients with real-time continuous monitoring of their security posture through the use of vulnerability analysis, exploit discovery, threat remediation and recovery services.
Horizon is powered by technology from RSA’s Archer GRC platform, and can be deployed in either traditional or cloud-enabled data centers, customized to meet individual client GRC needs, and scaled as needed.
“CSC Horizon offers clients an answer to today’s security compliance complexity,” said Samuel Visner, vice president and general manager, CSC Global Cybersecurity. “With heightened visibility into technology threats and vulnerabilities information, customers can increase the security of their organization while also saving time and money responding to compliance and regulatory demands.”
CSC cited the fact that many U.S. organizations need meet the requirements of more than 20 federal and state regulations regarding data protection and privacy.
In addition to regional and country-specific programs, a typical global enterprise has at least three global risk and compliance programs, CSC said.
CSC’s Horizon service is managed through its global network of security operations centers, enabling organizations to rapidly deploy the solution without large capital budgets or hiring of security and compliance experts.
