Security firm Trend Micro announced that its cloud and data center platform, Deep Security, is now available for Amazon Web Services (AWS) on AWS Marketplace, the online store for software and services running on Amaznon’s popular cloud platform.

Deep Security is Trend Micro’s platform for security controls and policies managed across physical, virtual and cloud environments. A component of Trend Micro’s Cloud and Data Center Security solution, Deep Security combines security features, including intrusion detection and prevention, anti-malware, integrity monitoring, vulnerability scanning, firewall and SSL.

Now offered via AWS Marketplace and integrated with management tools such as Chef, Puppet, SaltStack, AWS CloudFormation or AWS OpsWorks, Deep Security automates security provisioning to protect instances from the latest in vulnerabilities with workload-aware security, the company said.

As Trend Micro reminded, AWS is responsible for securing the underlying infrastructure, and end-organizations are responsible for protecting the operating system, applications, data, and beyond.

“We are excited to offer Trend Micro Deep Security on AWS Marketplace, giving customers more tools for additional layers of security for their workloads on the AWS Cloud,” said Terry Hanold, Vice President, AWS Platform and Marketplace, Amazon Web Services, Inc. “Our customers want solutions with a simple purchase and deployment process that complements the agility and flexibility of the cloud, and the ability to easily deploy offerings like Deep Security from AWS Marketplace accomplishes that.”

Deep Security for AWS became available last month, but the company has now officialy announced the offering.

This summer Trend Micro made Deep Security available for VMware’s vCloud Hybrid Service.

Pricing starts at $1.74 per hour or from $9,990 per year.
