Perception Point, an Israeli startup focused on protecting against threats coming through collaboration tools, email and other cloud-based services, announced this week that it has raised $28 million in Series B funding, bringing the total amount raised by the company to $48 million.
The company describes itself as a protector against “content-based attacks” that come via collaboration channels, including email, cloud storage, CRM apps, and messaging platforms.
Perception Point says its solution can be rolled out in minutes with no change to enterprise infrastructure, and can help prevent the spread of malicious files, URLs, and block phishing and social-engineering attacks through messaging and collaboration tools.
The solution integrates natively with apps and services including AWS S3, Slack, Google Drive, Microsoft Exchange and SharePoint, Salesforce, Dropbox, Evernote, Box, and many more.
The company also provides incident response services to help customers investigate and analyze incidents flagged by its solutions.
The Series B funding round was led by Red Dot Capital Partners and joined by NGP Capital along with existing investors Pitango Venture Capital and State of Mind Ventures (SOMV).
