Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) provider Netskope on Friday announced closing a new $300 million investment round at a post-money valuation of $7.5 billion. To date, the company has raised more than $1 billion in funding.

The new round was led by ICONIQ Growth, with participation from other existing investors, including Accel, Base Partners, Geodesic Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sapphire Ventures, and Sequoia Capital Global Equities.

The company says it plans to continue expanding its platform and go-to market efforts.

Netskope claims to currently serve more than 1,500 customers worldwide, including over 30 of the Fortune 100 companies, as well as some of the world’s largest commercial banks, healthcare providers, telecommunications companies, and retailers.

Netskope provides customers with a cloud platform designed to help them protect data and defend against threats across cloud services, websites and private applications. The company’s secure web gateway includes web security, data and threat protection, content filtering, Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), and data loss prevention (DLP) capabilities.

Over the past 18 months, the company has expanded its board and leadership teams, expanded coverage of its products across the world, expanded its patent portfolio, and launched a vendor-agnostic course that addresses design requirements for SASE, namely The SASE Accreditation.

In February 2020, Netskope announced a $340 million Series G funding round at a $3 billion valuation.

“We are fortunate to have attracted a truly exceptional team and set of partners, customers and industry luminaries who support and bring tremendous value to us, and we are pleased to take another step forward with all of them in our journey,” Sanjay Beri, CEO and co-founder of Netskope, said.
