Google announced on Tuesday the first Android security updates for 2023, which patch a total of 60 vulnerabilities.The first part of the update, which arrives on devices as the 2023-01-01 security patch level, addresses 19 security defects in the Framework and System components.

Security researcher Matt Kunze says Google paid him a $107,500 bug bounty reward for responsibly reporting vulnerabilities in the Google Home Mini smart speaker.The issues, the researcher says, could have been exploited by an attacker within wireless proximity to create a rogue account on the device and then perform various actions.

Located in southern British Columbia, the mine produces an average of 100 million pounds of copper equivalent per year.
