IT Security software provider, OpenTrust, today announced that its OpenTrust Mobile platform now enables Apple iPads with secure access to corporate networks.
OpenTrust Mobile will allow customers to manage digital identities on Apple iPads equipped with Digital IDs, and to remotely & automatically authenticate themselves to corporate networks. The OpenTrust platform is integrated with many enterprise systems including IBM Tivoli IAM, Oracle IAM, Cisco, RIM, iPhone, Gemalto, Safenet, Vasco and others.

OpenTrust Mobile provides corporate network authentication for mobile users and their devices, establishing trust between the IT infrastructure, the mobile device and its user. OpenTrust Mobile features profile-based configuration possibilities, making it straightforward to grant different levels of network access to different users.
OpenTrust Mobile supports the most common Mobile Operating Systems including iPhone, BlackBerry, Windows, and now iPad.
The rapid rise of mobile computing devices as the preferred medium for connecting to private corporate networks has led to an increase in the associated risks and breaches of security concerning the IT infrastructure of enterprises.
A recent survey conducted by InformationWeek Analytics showed that security is the primary reason companies deploy, or plan to deploy mobile device management, with four out of five business technology professionals saying smartphones will become more predominant in their environments.
