Charles (Chuck) Everette has been named Field Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at ESET‘s Corporate Solutions business in North America, which provides custom solutions and high-value threat intelligence for Fortune 500 companies and large enterprises. Prior to ESET, Everette held CISO and other leadership roles at Fidelity National Information Services, Bit9 (Carbon Black), Deep Instinct, Virsec, Mimic Cyber Solutions, and the City of Fort Lauderdale.
Cyber resilience and data protection solutions provider Commvault has appointed Bill O’Connell as its Chief Security Officer (CSO). Most recently, O’Connell served as Global Head of Cybersecurity and Privacy at Roche, and prior to that he held various security leadership positions for nearly 12 years at ADP.
AI security startup SplxAI has announced that Sandy Dunn has joined the company as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), to spearhead development of its governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) solutions. An industry veteran, Dunn previously served as CISO at Brand Engagement Network and Blue Cross of Idaho, as Chief Information Officer / Chief Security Officer (CIO/CSO) at BreachQuest, and as Information Security Officer (ISO) at HP. SplxAI has just raised $7 million in seed funding.
Tax preparation giant H&R Block announced that Phillip Miller will join the company as its new Vice President and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) on March 31. Miller is the founder of cybersecurity consulting firm Qurple. Prior to that, he held VP and CISO roles at NetApp and Brooks Brothers. He also served as a Principal Security Advisor at AWS.
Israel-based identity security and governance solutions provider Linx Security has announced the appointment of Sarit Reiner Frumkes as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). She previously held leadership roles at Microsoft, Payoneer, and in the Israeli government.
Tabitha Craig has been named the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of the Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Craig previously held leadership roles at the Department of Defense and the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Location sharing and safety app developer Life360 has appointed Vari Bindra as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Bindra previously worked at Amazon, where he led all aspects of security, risk, and privacy for Amazon Retail Stores. He also held roles in the past at Blackhawk Network, Fisher Investments, and Intuit.
Forcepoint has appointed Guy Shamilov as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), and Bakshi Kohli as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and Head of Global Engineering. Naveen Palavalli, who joined the company last year, will expand his role to Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Prior to Forcepoint, Shamilov served as CISO at Varonis, Tata Consultancy Services and Traiana. Kohli previously held leadership roles at Zscaler and Infoblox.
Cyber readiness and response solutions provider Sygnia has announced the appointment of Avi Golan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Golan previously held key roles at Google, Intuit, SoftBank Vision Fund, Air New Zealand and Oosto. Golan replaces Ram Elboim, who served as the CEO of Sygnia for nearly four years and who stepped down recently to dedicate more time to his health and family.
Cybersecurity training company Immersive (previously Immersive Labs) has named Mark Schmitz as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Immersive founder James Hadley will remain on the company’s board and transition to the role of Chief Innovation Officer. Prior to Immersive, Schmitz served as President at Collibra and Interim CEO at Citrix Systems. He also held senior leadership roles at SAP, Ariba, and Accenture.
ICS/OT security firm Claroty has appointed Amir Preminger as Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Preminger, who founded Claroty’s Team82 research group, has been the company’s VP of Research for the past seven years. He will continue to lead Team82 while also driving innovation across the company’s products and services.
