FireHost, a Dallas, Texas-based cloud hosting provider that has made security the focus of its offerings, today announced the opening of two new European data centers located in London and Amsterdam.

The new facilities offer fully managed enterprise security solutions, including Web application protection, real-time reporting of blocked hack attempts, and origin of attack mapping.

For European and international organizations operating in the region, the new data centers enable their websites and applications to be hosted in-region and under the jurisdiction of European data protection legislation.

Additionally, Firehost customers running services in both the U.S. and in Europe are able to manage servers for all locations via a single interface provided by FireHost’s customer portal.

“The elevated importance of securing company websites and data against malicious attacks has led to increasing demand for secure cloud hosting environments,” said Katrena Drake, director of European operations at FireHost. “The success of our business model within our U.S. facilities has been phenomenal and we’re excited about bringing our approach to the European marketplace.”

In September 2011, the company announced that it had raised $10 Million in a Series B round of funding that would be used for expansion.
