Kelly Haggerty Appointed as New Chief Product Officer at IID
Cyber threat intelligence firm IID has hired Kelly Haggerty as the company’s Chief Product Officer, the company said Thursday.
As Tacoma, Washington-based IID’s first Chief Product Officer, Haggerty will be responsible for overall product strategy, including development and management of IID’s solutions, specifically the company’s threat intelligence management system, ActiveTrust.
Kelly joined the company in late September and IID is expected to make an official announcement on the hire next week.
Launched in February of this year, ActiveTrust is an information sharing platform where government agencies and enterprises can share data about the latest threats and ongoing attacks.
“Since IID launched ActiveTrust just a half year ago, dozens of Fortune 500 companies and government agencies have connected to the platform, presenting new opportunities for product growth and innovation,” said IID CEO Lars Harvey.
Haggerty comes to IID from McAfee where he most recently served as Vice President of Product until earlier this year. Prior to McAfee, Haggerty served in executive management roles at a variety of companies including Actiance and SurfControl (acquired by Websense).
Haggerty earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Christopher Newport University.

ActiveTrust delivers “normalized data, threat analytics and big data applications and services” directly into customers’ infrastructure in near real-time, the company explained.
The platform gathers cyber threat data from thousands of trusted sources, which after analyzed and correlated, is able to provide actionable insight to security teams and security tools.
In November 2013, IID, also known as “Internet Identity”, announced that it has raised $8 million in Series A funding from Bessemer Venture Partners.
Since the funding, the company has added several executives. In July 2014, IID appointed former TripWire senior vice president Bob Dunne as Vice President of Sales. In January 2014, IID appointed Ben King as CFO, Merike Kaeo as CISO and Mark Foege as Vice President of Marketing.
