Australian cloud security startup Circumvent has announced raising $6 million in seed funding from Paladin Capital Group.
With offices in Sydney and San Francisco, Circumvent is looking to change cloud and application security management by autonomously correlating and triaging alerts to eliminate security noise.
The company’s platform relies on AI to ingest, correlate, and enrich alerts from a broad range of sources, including cloud, open source, and third-party security tools, and align the data with business context in real-time, to prioritize risk and optimize remediation.
Circumvent is building a network of intelligent agents for the autonomous management of prioritization and remediation tasks. The Multi-Agent AI System learns from customers’ environments to deliver remediation integrated into DevSecOps workflows.
According to Circumvent, its solution provides remediation integrated into customers’ code repositories, for one-click fixes, and allows organizations to create and enforce security policies in line with their needs and compliance requirements.
The company says it is currently working with enterprises in the US, Australia, and New Zealand across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
Circumvent will invest the fresh cash in product development and customer engagement. While keeping R&D in Australia, the company will establish commercial headquarters in San Francisco for US market expansion and global customer engagement.
“Security and cloud teams are under immense pressure to move fast without increasing risk. We’re not just generating more alerts—we’re building the intelligence layer that helps teams understand what to fix, why it’s important, and how to take immediate action to resolve the root cause,” Circumvent co-founder and CEO Michael Watts said.
