Attack Surface Management Startup WatchTowr Raises $19 Million

Continuous automated red teaming platform provider WatchTowr has raised $19 million in a Series A funding round.

WatchTowr, a Singapore-based company that provides external attack surface management through a continuous automated red teaming platform, on Thursday announced raising $19 million in a Series A funding round.

The investment, which brings the total raised by the company to $29 million, was led by Peak XV (formerly Sequoia India & Southeast Asia), with participation from Prosus Ventures and Cercano Management.

Chris Merritt, operating partner at Peak XV and former president of field operations and CRO at Cloudflare, has joined WatchTowr’s board of directors.

WatchTowr said it will use the funds to expand its research, engineering, and go-to-market teams, and to accelerate its global growth.

The company has developed a platform that simulates attackers in an effort to help organizations rapidly respond to emerging techniques and threats.

The platform also builds a real-time attacker’s view of the customer’s environment, continuously identifying and validating exploitable vulnerabilities before they can be leveraged by threat actors.

WatchTowr has also analyzed known vulnerabilities and has found new security issues that could have significant impact.
