1Kosmos Raises $57 Million for Identity Verification and Authentication Platform

1Kosmos has raised $57 million in Series B funding, which brings the total raised by the company to $72 million.

1Kosmos on Tuesday announced raising $57 million in a Series B funding round for the expansion of its identity verification and passwordless authentication platform.

The latest funding, which brings the total raised by the company to $72 million, includes a $10 million line of credit from Bridge Bank. The investment was led by Forgepoint Capital, Oquirrh Ventures, and Origami Capital.

The money will be used by 1Kosmos to enhance its product, accelerate global expansion, and expand technology integrations with third-party identity and zero trust platforms.

1Kosmos provides remote identity verification and passwordless multi-factor authentication solutions for workers, customers, and residents.

The company’s platform brings together credential verification, identity proofing, and authentication to prevent account takeover, impersonation, and fraud.

1Kosmos says its platform is currently used by banks, healthcare organizations, telecom companies, tech providers, and retailers.

“Identity has become the first step in the kill chain. This investment allows us to strengthen the proactive controls organizations need to prevent impersonation-based attacks—whether it’s a sophisticated hacking group or a state-sponsored developer hiding in plain sight,” said Hemen Vimadalal, CEO of 1Kosmos.

He added, “1Kosmos identity verification is the only practical solution that can be quickly deployed in a matter of hours to effectively combat this threat.”
