VASCO Data Security today launched “DIGIPASS Nano,” its latest mobile security offering which consists of a thin film that users place over the SIM card in their mobile device, turning it into a secure mobile device capable of generating one-time passwords and e-signatures.

After placing DIGIPASS Nano onto the SIM card, mobile end-users can securely access keyboard and display functionalities, offering end-to-end security during the entire transaction or signing process and perform secure transactions, access business-critical data or transfer money anywhere.

DIGIPASS Nano will offer banks and corporations new perspectives in using mobile devices as authentication means, providing them with a new channel to interact with their customers.

The solution doesn’t require any subscription, is operator independent and can be deployed by banks and corporations to fit virtually every mobile device worldwide that supports SIM or USIM technology.

“Mobile phone users are becoming less hesitant towards the adoption of mobile applications as the security of these devices is enhanced,” said Jan Valcke, VASCO’s President and COO.

VASCO also offers DIGIPASS Software Development Kit, a key component of mobile authentication solutions.
