Social media security startup Spikerz has raised $7 million in a seed funding round led by Disruptive AI.

Social media security startup Spikerz last week announced raising $7 million in a seed funding round.

The investment was led by Disruptive AI, with participation from previous investor Horizon Capital, as well as Wix Ventures, Storytime Capital, and BDMI.

Spikerz said the funding will enable it to accelerate the development of its platform, expand its global market presence, and strengthen its team.

Spikerz has developed a solution that social media teams and influencers can use to track and neutralize phishing attacks, scams, and other threats that can pose a risk to accounts.

It also provides capabilities for detecting and removing fake accounts and malicious bots, and also provides tools for identifying and resolving issues that restrict account visibility (shadowban).

“Social media platforms have become a critical source for businesses, SMBs, and brands worldwide. Yet, the growing sophistication of malicious actors, also using GenAI, poses a significant threat to these livelihoods,” said Spikerz CEO Naveh Ben Dror.
