For developers seeking to pilot and power business-critical apps in popular public cloud and hybrid cloud environments, Skydera C3 Developer Edition interoperates with cloud providers including Amazon, Rackspace, GoGrid, SliceHost and others, with no risk of vendor lock-in.

The solution provides cloud developer with fine-grained user controls and multi-role credential management, and delivers automatic VPN set up for large cloud enterprises. It supports template re-use from incumbent vendors, as well as support for popular developer community tools (Puppet, Chef) and emerging private cloud standards, e.g. OpenStack and Eucalyptus.

“With the announcement of Skydera C3, we have reached a tipping point in the industry’s evolution from public cloud experimentation to true cross-cloud IT,” said Lecole Cole, founder and CEO of Skydera. “IT innovators and cloud early adopters are committed to pay-as-you-grow cloud computing and want to execute around the compelling vision of an end-to-end cloud enterprise. Nevertheless, IT visionaries have come to the conclusion that they will require a truly feature-rich ‘cloud command & control’ environment to power and orchestrate elastic data centers.”

Skydera C3 enables enterprise developers and SaaS ISVs to build, deploy and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud applications across multiple IaaS providers through a simple-to-navigate dashboard and self-service portal.

Simplifying cross-cloud application deployment, C3’s QuickLaunch canvas enables enterprise developers to select and cost-optimize computing resources from best-of-breed hosting and ISV partners and cloud data centers.

Skydera C3 Developer Edition subscriptions are $395 per month per seat for enterprise developers and cloud IT administrators. The company offers a free trial of Skydera C3 for up to 4 servers under management for Developer Edition customers.
