Royal Caribbean Appoints Renee Guttman as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)
Royal Caribbean Cruises today announced that it has hired long time information securityveteran Renee Guttman as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), effective January 25, 2016.
Guttman comes to Royal Caribbean from Optiv, where she most recently served as Vice President of Information Risk and member of the Office of the CISO, where she provided guidance to security leaders at enterprise organizations.
According to Guttman’s LinkedIn profile, she served as CISO of Coca-Cola from January 2011 through July 2014. Previously, she served as VP of Information Security and Privacy at Time Inc.
“Renee’s role is paramount as Royal Caribbean continues to work in a global environment where information security is critical to the ongoing success of our Company,” said Michael Giresi, Chief Information Officer, Royal Caribbean Cruises. “Information security touches every aspect of our business and Renee’s leadership and oversight will innovate RCL so that our information and systems are protected and in compliance with global regulations.”
Royal Caribbean Cruises operates several cruise brands, including Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity, Pullmantur, Azamara Club and CDF Croisieres de France. Across its brands, the company operates a total of 44 ships, and says it has an additional eleven on order.
