Raytheon announced today that is has acquired Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), a privately held provider of IT security solutions.

Raytheon Expands Cybersecurity Portfolio with Acquisition of Trusted Computer Solutions

Raytheon announced today that is has acquired Trusted Computer Solutions (TCS), a privately held provider of IT security solutions.

With the acquisition, Raytheon looks to further expand the its cybersecurity solutions portfolio. Founded in 1994, Trusted Computer Solutions provides cross-domain and cybersecurity software and services that help organizations manage and share information securely across multiple classification levels and domains.

Based in Herndon, Va, Trusted Computer Solutions customers represent a wide range of agencies and operations within the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Homeland Security, civilian agencies, and commercial sector.

The company will now be known as Raytheon Trusted Computer Solutions and will be integrated into Raytheon’s Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) business within the Information Security Solutions product line. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Raytheon also recently acquired Reston, Virginia based Technology Associates Inc., a company that provides data extraction and analysis, digital media intercept and exploitation, embedded system programming, and information assurance services to the U.S. intelligence community.
