During the InfoSecurity Europe conference this week in London, Qualys and FireMon announced the integration of QualysGuard Vulnerability Management (VM) and FireMon Security Manager with Risk Analyzer.
The combination will enable customers take a look at their respective security postures, and evaluate remediation efforts though attack simulations. These simulations will then allow the organization to see the impact the simulated attack had, so that they may better assess the things needed to reduce risk and obtain compliance.
QualysGuard VM provides information feeds for network discovery and mapping, asset prioritization, vulnerability reporting correlated with known malware and exploits, and remediation tracking according to business risk. As part of the integration, FireMon Security Manager with Risk Analyzer is automatically updated with the latest QualysGuard VM scan results.
When combined with Security Manager’s real-time network configuration and topology knowledge, the merger of the two products provides customers with a rather comprehensive risk overview, allowing them to identify exactly what assets on their network are at risk and select the ones that need immediate attention.
