Mobile phishing protection startup novoShield has emerged from stealth mode with an enterprise-grade iPhone protection application.

The new solution, novoShield says, was designed to protect both end-users and businesses from the increasing number of phishing attacks.

The migration to remote work due to the Covid-19 pandemic has led to a significant increase in cybercrime, including phishing, and novoShield aims to tackle the issue with its real-time protection solution.

novoShield’s solution monitors mobile users’ browsing activity to identify malicious sites and blocks users from accessing them, while also providing on-screen indicators to keep users informed.

“novoShield’s pioneering technology tackles the threat head on, taking the guesswork and security risks out of the equation without sacrificing privacy, mobile speed or functionality. We are excited to launch our first product and enable smartphone users to continue to work, play, and connect on their smartphones at home, at work and everywhere in between without risk,” novoShield CEO and co-founder Bat El Azerad said.

The application works in the background, without storing browsing activity, processing data entered on websites, or sharing data with third-parties, novoShield says.

novoShield says Android and PC versions of the solution are also planned, but hasn’t provided specific details on when they might be released. The iPhone application is already available in the Apple AppStore.
