Microsoft has introduced two new advanced security and compliance offerings for Microsoft 365, including Identity & Threat Protection and Information Protection & Compliance packages.

Containing Office 365, Windows 10, and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), Microsoft says the new offerings will help protect customer data and comply with tighter regulations like the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The first of the newly announced packages is Identity & Threat Protection, which brings together security value across Office 365, Windows 10, and EMS, in a single offering.

It contains advanced threat protection services such as Microsoft Threat Protection (Azure Advanced Threat Protection (ATP), Windows Defender ATP, and Office 365 ATP including Threat Intelligence), and Microsoft Cloud App Security and Azure Active Directory.

The second new offering is Information Protection & Compliance, which combines Office 365 Advance Compliance and Azure Information Protection.

It provides chief compliance officers with the option to perform ongoing risk assessments with a compliance score across Microsoft Cloud services, to classify and protect sensitive data in an automated manner, and respond to regulatory requests leveraging artificial intelligence (AI).

Both packages will be available starting February 1, 2019. Identity & Threat Protection will be available for $10 per user per month, while Information Protection & Compliance will be available for $12 per user per month (the pricing is for Microsoft 365 E3 customers before volume discounts).
