New York security startup LeapXpert has scored $22 million in venture capital investment to build technology to help businesses manage the use of consumer messaging apps in the enterprise.
The company said the Series A financing was led by Rockefeller Asset Management through its Technology Ventures Group with equity investments from Uncorrelated Ventures, the Partnership Fund for New York City.
LeapXpert has raised a total of $36 million since launching in 2017 with technology to help organizations integrate consumer messaging apps like WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage and Telegram into business applications and take care of the security and compliance requirements.
The brainchild of Dima Gutzeit, LeapXpert said its product is being used by companies to control communications between employees, suppliers, customers, and other interested parties.
The company said it has found traction in the financial services sector where organizations use the platform to give employees a single corporate identity for business communication through iMessage, WhatsApp, SMS, Telegram, WeChat, Signal, LINE, and voice calls.
“All employees’ business communication can be recorded while their personal messages remain private. Meanwhile, clients communicate natively on their preferred messaging app. The platform also integrates natively with Microsoft Teams, enabling employees to communicate compliantly with clients on the messaging app of their choice from within Microsoft Teams,” the company said.
