New Capabilities Give Customers More Control to Optimize Website Performance
Incapsula, a cloud-based website performance and security service, today announced enhanced website acceleration capabilities for their CDN and website security service.
The company said the new capabilities give users total control over their caching and acceleration policies, enabling customers to take advantage of Incapsula’s dynamic application profiling, caching and acceleration capabilities and further fine-tune them to provide visitors with a better, faster experience.
“Website performance and security go hand in hand,” said Marc Gaffan, co-founder and VP of Marketing and Business Development at Incapsula. “Understanding your web application is just as important for security as it is for acceleration. Through Incapsula’s Global CDN, customers can now up-level their service by creating granular caching and optimization policies to augment Incapsula’s dynamic application profiling.”
“Much like security engineers are able to fine tune their security controls and thwart cyber attacks, Incapsula is empowering performance engineers with the controls to squeeze the best performance out of web applications and sites,” Gaffan added.
Starting immediately, Incapsula customers will be able to customize:
Granular Content Caching Rules: Users will be able to further optimize their caching policy by specifying, on a per resource level, how a site’s content is cached and refreshed.
Asynchronous validation: Users can control their cache refresh by executing Async content validation for improved performance on low traffic websites.
“On the Fly” Compression of dynamic resources: Reduces footprint of binary files, images and minifies textual content such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript resources.
TCP Pre-Pooling: Optimizes just-in-time provisioning of networking resources to improve overall networking utilization.
Incapsula’s cloud-based service gives organizations of any size security and performance optimization, securing websites from multi-Gigabit DDoS attacks, illegal access attempts, spammers, scrapers and other malicious bots. The Incapsula service addresses the entire OWASP’s Top 10 vulnerabilities list.
Earlier this year, Incapsula introduced a new feature designed to detect and disable malicious backdoors on compromised Web servers. Dubbed “Incapsula Backdoor Protect”, the solution as a nonintrusive service that can detect and mitigate backdoors that have worked their way onto a web server.
Incapsula was spun out and is financially backed by Imperva.
