HP Completes Acquisition of ArcSight

HP’s acquisition of ArcSight has been completed and ArcSight is now officially a subsidiary of HP. HP paid approximately $1.5 billion for the company, shelling out $43.50 per share in cash.

HP’s acquisition of ArcSight has been completed and ArcSight is now officially a subsidiary of HP. HP paid approximately $1.5 billion for the company, shelling out $43.50 per share in cash.

Cupertino, CA based ArcSight provides cybersecurity and compliance solutions that protect organizations from enterprise threats and has been a market leader with its SIEM solution. The company had revenue of $48.1 million in its most recent quarter ending July 31.

Integrating ArcSight’s security portfolio with HP’s IT operations management portfolio will allow HP customers to converge millions of events across IT operations and security.

In August, HP acquired Fortify Software, a San Mateo, CA based provider of products and services that help developers identify security flaws in software code, helping to make applications more secure.
