HP Awarded Contract to Enhance Assessment of Department of Defense Networks for Vulnerabilities

HP today announced that the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) has selected HP Enterprise Services as the prime contractor for a program that will provide analytics to enable the assessment of U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) enterprise networks and connected IT systems against DoD standards, as well as any known system vulnerabilities.

HP said the contract was awarded under DISA’s Encore II contract vehicle and could be valued as high as $39.8 million over seven years. As part of the work performed, HP Enterprise Services will help enhance the DoD’s ability to detect IT system vulnerabilities, ensuring improved and efficient security.

“Providing robust cybersecurity protection and defenses to DISA and across the DoD enterprise is a top priority for DISA’s leadership,” said Betsy Hight, vice president, Cybersecurity Practice, U.S. Public Sector, HP Enterprise Services.

The company also said that under the terms of the contract, the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) will be available for implementation across the DoD as the enterprise-wide compliance solution. HP will ensure strict compliance levels are met by providing implementation, training, help desk, and project management services to DISA.
