Foxit Corporation, maker of popular the PDF reader, has patched Foxit Reader 5.0.2 to address a security vulnerability and other bugs.

The latest patch (Foxit Reader 5.0.2) fixes an issue that may allow an attacker to execute local or remote arbitrary code by loading a malicious DLL for the Insecure Library Loading vulnerability. In addition, it solves an unexpected termination issue when opening certain PDFs in a web browser which is caused by a heap-based buffer overflow. The latest version has fixed several minor bugs to enhance stability and security, the company said.
