Dell SecureWorks, the managed security services division of Dell, on Monday launched new managed security services for enterprises, including new managed third-party Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) services and managed services for F5’ BIG-IP Application Security Manager (ASM) Web Application Firewall.

According to Dell, its new SIEM offerings will give customers the option of Dell SecureWorks handling both the management and monitoring of the SIEM platform, or monitoring only. Customers can also decide to maintain the SIEM data onsite.

“Dell SecureWorks has always been flexible and vendor agnostic in order to provide the most appropriate security services to address its customers’ needs,” said Dan DeRosa, Director, Product Management, Dell SecureWorks. “By expanding our SIEM portfolio of services to include other best-of-breed technologies, in addition to our proprietary SIEM technology and SIM On-Demand service offering, we are providing more options to meet the demands of the market.”

Dell SecureWorks now supports F5’s BIG-IP Application Security Manager, a Web application firewall that secures Web applications in traditional, virtual and private cloud environments.

Additionally, the company launched a mobile application designed to give customers 24/7 access to Dell SecureWorks’ Security Operations Center (SOC) analysts, ticketing information and workflow for security events and access to Dell SecureWorks’ CTU Threat Intelligence from the Dell SecureWorks Counter Threat UnitTM (CTU) security research team.

Using the mobile application, customers can create, view and update ticket details from their Android, Apple iOS or BlackBerry mobile devices. Users can also access CTU Threat Intelligence, vulnerabilities and advisories from the Dell SecureWorks CTU research team.
