Application security startup ArmorCode emerged from stealth mode on Thursday after raising $3 million in a seed funding round.

Founded in 2020 by CEO Nikhil Gupta (former VMware and Cisco executive) and CTO Anant Misra, the Palo Alto, Calif.-based company has developed a platform designed to give enterprises more control over their application security environments.

ArmorCode’s solution promises streamlined application security processes, improved developer productivity, and consolidated application security tooling.

According to ArmorCode, its platform provides security posture management, DevSecOps orchestration, and compliance capabilities.

The funding round was led by Sierra Wireless, with participation from Tau Ventures and 75 Capital, as well as from individual investors such as Andreas Kuehlmann (CEO, Tortuga Logic) and Prithvi Rai (CEO, Borneo).

“ArmorCode has designed a massively scalable agentless platform from the ground up to help modernize application security. We already have a strong remote-first team of more than 25 members and this initial funding will enable us to realize our dream of democratizing application security,” Gupta commented.
