Enterprise Website Vulnerability Management Product Updated With Enhanced User and Role Management, New Reporting Capabilities and Stronger Access Control

WhiteHat Security today announced updates to its software-as-a-service (SaaS) website vulnerability management offering, WhiteHat Sentinel, including new user and role management options, additional enterprise reports, and a unique site security statement for customers and cloud computing service providers.

The Sentinel User and Role Management system allows Sentinel administrators to manage users and adjust information and Sentinel functionality access depending on their roles: administrator (total access); Security Operator (able to configure, start scans and generate reports); developer (able to view vulnerability data and retest); and executive (access to summary data only).

WhiteHat Sentinel’s new reporting system offers more granular reports geared to specific audiences, including a PCI compliance report that measures whether or not a company’s website is compliant with the Payment Card Industry’s Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) along with several others.

In addition, the new Site Security Statement summarizes open website vulnerabilities in each risk level and provides a checklist of classes of vulnerabilities. This new report enables service providers to easily demonstrate proof of their security practices in a customer or auditor-ready format.
