Trusteer, a Boston, Massachusetts-based provider of endpoint cybercrime prevention solutions, this week announced that it has setup an office in Japan to be led by Norio Miyazawa who will serve as Country Manager for Trusteer Japan.
“Financial institutions and enterprises in Japan are faced with the same malware attacks and account takeover threats as their counterparts in the rest of the world and are looking for effective ways to prevent cyber fraud, corporate data theft and advanced persistent threat (APT) attacks,” said Rakesh K. Loonkar, President of Trusteer.
Miyazawa has more than 10 years of financial and fraud prevention solution experience, holding previous positions at Actimize Japan, SuperDerivatives Japan and Algorithmics Japan.
“Trusteer is committed to meeting the needs of Japanese financial institutions and enterprises,” Loonkar said. “Norio Miyazawa has the experience and relationships to help us grow our business in this important market.”
The company said it would offer a number of products to the Japanese market, including Trusteer Pinpoint, Trusteer Rapport, Trusteer Rapport for Enterprise, and Trusteer Mobile.
Trusteer counts several large global organizations including HSBC, Santander, The Royal Bank of Scotland, SunTrust, First Data, Harland Financial Solutions, and Intuit as customers.
