SaaS machine data analytics platform provider Sumo Logic this week announced the acquisition of cloud-native autonomous security operations center (ASOC) software provider JASK Labs, Inc.

JASK aims to modernize security operations by simultaneously monitoring both on-premises and heterogeneous multi-cloud infrastructures and by streamlining security analysis through automating repetitive tasks.

Founded in 2010 and privately held, Sumo Logic is based in Redwood City, Calif. The security company offers a Continuous Intelligence Platform for DevSecOps that provides real-time, continuous intelligence from data across the entire application lifecycle and stack.

The acquisition, Sumo Logic says, will allow it to expand its platform, which includes cloud SIEM and security compliance solutions. The integration of JASK ASOC into its offering will help the company better tailor its cloud-native security intelligence solution for today’s digital businesses.

When integrated with Sumo Logic’s cloud SIEM, JASK ASOC will help transform security alerts into actionable insights, thus accelerating identification and response to incidents.

Following the acquisition, the security firm will launch the Sumo Logic ASOC solution and a Spec Ops offering for threat hunting, which should be released by the end of the year. Offered as a service, at cloud scale, these solutions aim to close the loop for adaptive cloud scale defense.

“Customers are looking for a new approach to help them overcome the pain and complexity around an increasingly perimeter-less world. The JASK team are experts in helping customers navigate this new world. By aligning our efforts as a single team, we are able to democratize security intelligence for all,” Ramin Sayar, president and CEO of Sumo Logic, said.
