Sourcefire Appoints Red Hat CFO to Board of Directors

Sourcefire announced this week that it has appointed Charles E. Peters, Jr., chief financial officer of Red Hat, Inc., to its Board of Directors as an independent director, effective July 26, 2011.

Sourcefire announced this week that it has appointed Charles E. Peters, Jr., chief financial officer of Red Hat, Inc., to its Board of Directors as an independent director, effective July 26, 2011.

Peters has served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Red Hat, Inc. since 2004. Prior to joining Red Hat, from 1995 to 2003 Mr. Peters held the position of Chief Financial Officer with Burlington Industries, Inc. From 1991 to 1995, Peters was Senior Vice President Finance at Boston Edison Company. Peters began his career with Price Waterhouse in 1973, serving in Boston and London in the audit division. Peters is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts as well as a Master of Science in Finance from Bentley College.
