Israeli startup scores investor interest in technology to help businesses block web-borne cyberattacks

An early-stage Israeli startup working on secure browsing technology has banked $6 million in seed-round investment led by Elron Ventures and Ten Eleven Ventures.

The Tel Aviv company, called Red Access, is promising technology “to secure every web session across any browser, app and device” for corporate customers.

Red Access is coming out of the shadows on Tuesday with the public availability of a platform offering protection from threats without the need to install any endpoint agent or modify work habits.

The company said its “session-based” security product works across any browser, combining multi-layered analysis (including cloud and endpoint inspection), agentless design, and single-click management.

Red Access said its platform offers comprehensive coverage and control against the latest file, identity, and data-driven attacks — including phishing and ransomware.

“The fully device-, browser-, and web/SaaS application-agnostic solution empowers any company to easily secure every browsing web app session, without having to force new work habits, adopt new hardware, or bolt on additional layers to existing solutions,” the company said in a note announcing the new financing.

Red Access said the cash injection will be used to expand operations and build out its Tel Aviv staff.
